Members of the team from the Forest Side Hotel in Grasmere, are to feature in a new national TV series, which will be on air throughout summer.

Named ‘The Yorkshire Dales & The Lakes’, the show follows a wide range of people who live and work in England’s biggest expanse of protected countryside, that being The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

On August 1, 'More4' will provide unique behind the scenes footage of the staff at the hotel.

The cameras will follow team members, which include head chef Kevin Tickle, whilst dishes are being prepared for the Michelin starred restaurant.

The series is filmed from summer through to spring, and focuses on day to day life at the two parks.

Mr Tickle, head chef at Forest Side said: "We are really pleased to have had the opportunity to play a small part in the television show.

"Hopefully it will allow viewers to get under the skin of these two stunning National Parks, to see both areas through the eyes of those who are fortunate enough to call these remarkable landscapes home."

He added:"It will allow viewers to gain an insight into what our communities are all about"

Forest Side is on the road between Grasmere and Keswick.
