Lancaster bank appoints experienced local manager

A Swedish bank has appointed a new banker to manage operations at its Lancaster branch.

Banker Alison Norfolk, who is originally from Lancaster, has over 30 years experience in the industry.

She will lead the team of experienced bankers at Handelsbanken.

Ms Norfolk said: ““It is a real privilege to be responsible for serving the Lancaster and Morecambe community in this way.

“The whole team here is committed to introducing our unique local relationship banking approach to more and more businesses and individuals in the area.

“We are experienced bankers with the power to make the decisions that matter to our customers, swiftly and sensibly here in the local branch."

The bank originated from Sweden and now has over 800 branches in more than 20 countries across the world.

Ms Norfolk will leader bankers in Lancaster to help meet the needs of a growing range of customers in and around the city.

The branch first opened in 2012 and is located on Church Street.

Handelsbanken has developed a reputation for traditional banking, financial support and a high standard of customer care within the local community.
